As a dedicated, bilingual, Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate (LPC-Associate), supervised by Alejandra Sanchez, LPC-Supervisor, I provide an open minded and empathetic space to support adult(18+) through individual counseling & couples counseling. I have met the professional counseling standards established by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors and have earned recognition as a National Certified Counselor.
My goal is not only to make life more manageable but help you thrive. I tailor to each individual or couple in a culturally competent manner as I believe that there is no one-size-fits-all solution. I work to identify specific needs and determine the most effective approach for each person. My training includes a variety of therapeutic modalities, including evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Internal Family Systems to name a few.
I received my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from The University of Texas El Paso. While in graduate school, I completed by Practicum and Internship with Family Service of El Paso where I gained valuable experience working with diverse populations, including couples; addressing a variety of mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, bipolar, post-traumatic stress disorder, behavioral challenges due to substance use disorder, trauma, and relationship issues.
I see therapy as a collaborative and supportive process, where we work together in a safe, non-judgmental environment to identify the root causes of challenges. My aim is to help transform pain and difficulties into hope, resilience, and personal growth.
